Dynasty dominates in Tampa

Dynasty Elite’s youth squad recently turned in a championship performance at the World Spirit Federation Nationals in Tampa, winning first place in its division as well as the Grand Champion title.

Five squads overall went to Nationals, including teams in the Junior, Senior, Tiny, and Hip-Hop divisions. The Senior and Hip-Hop teams each placed third.

Waldorf College Cheerleaders Selected For National Competition

The Waldorf College Cheer Squad has been selected to compete in the prestigious Cheer Ltd. national cheerleading competition in Myrtle Beach, S.C., March 18-22. The squad will compete against approximately 40 other teams who qualified by submitting videos of their routines. It will be the first time the Waldorf cheerleaders have competed in this event.

Cheerleading is recognized as a sport at Waldorf College, a member of the Midwest Collegiate Conference and National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. The team prides themselves in performing difficult stunts that are typically only done by co-ed squads.

Twist and Shout team wins big – PittsburghLIVE.com.

The Twist and Shout Academy’s senior level cheerleading and dance team won a national championship at a competition in Pittsburgh last month sponsored by Great Lakes Cheer. The girls also won the event’s grand champion award.

The team will travel to Wisconsin for a competition March 21 and 22 to win a bid to a world cheerleading competition held at Walt Disney World in Florida in April. The girls will be fundraising for the competition.

DHS cheerleaders head to nationals

The high school’s competition cheerleading team will travel to California later this month for the group’s first performance on the national stage.

The dozen young Demons will compete against an estimated 35 other teams in the national competition’s novice category. The team qualified for nationals at a competition held in the fall in Phoenix.

Wolverines cheerleading squad earns berth in U.S. finals

The Wolverine Elite All Stars cheerleading squad recently captured a first-place finish at the Great Lakes Upstate Championship in Rochester, N.Y. The victory gives the team, which consists of cheerleaders from throughout Niagara west, a qualifying bid in the U.S. finals.

The Junior Wolverines, made up of 12- to 14-year olds, has been training together since last June and has placed second at the Cheer Alliance Fall Classic last November and first at the Powercheer Christmas Challenge in December. They are coming off a national championship season from 2008 in the Small Junior Level 2 division.

Sebring High Cheerleaders Are 9th In Prestigious National Contest.

SEBRING – The Sebring High School Varsity Co-Ed cheerleaders advanced to the final round of the National High School CheerleadingChampionship, the most prestigious cheerleading contest in the country. They placed ninth in the nation, against 17 other top squadsfrom across the country.

The NHSCC is held at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, and nationally televised on ESPN and ESPN2 to more than 100 million homes and 32 countries nationwide each year.

Video Game Generation has reviewed All Star Cheer Squad.  In the review they cover, in detail, how the game is setup and played.  Giving thier thoughts on how well each aspect of the game is.

Gameplay is simple: follow through the tutorial mode presented by the cheerleaders where they teach you how to hold the Wii remote and Nunchuk just so in order to register movements. Throughout the game, players will progress through different stages of competitions and practices.

As for graphics, character models are appropriately peppy and bright, but there is a dearth of attention to detail. While players shouldn’t expect much from the graphics nor the locations scattered throughout

It’s back-to-back state championships for Carlson cheerleaders

The Carlson cheerleading team capped a great season with a second straight Michigan High School Athletic Associa-tion Division 2 state championship in Grand Rapids Saturday.

The Marauders domi-nated the Division 2 com-petition, winning each of the three rounds and scor-ing 807.1184 points.

Carlson’s point total was the second highest in the state finals regardless of division. Only Division 1 Rochester (811.2480) scored higher.

Stunt show cancelled for two days at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Due to the upcoming UCA National All Star Cheerleading Championship Competition, everyone’s favorite stunt show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will not be performing on March 14 and 15. The one of the UCA’s three most prestigious cheerleading and dance competitions in the nation will be held on the set where the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular can be seen. 

 

More than 22,000 cheerleaders will dance and cheer their way to the finals in front of more than 25,000 spectators who travel to Walt Disney World to show their support. The championships will be aired onESPN and espn2, check local listings for air times.

GHS cheerleaders competing in Viewer’s Choice competition

Granville High School cheerleaders are one of 43 high school cheerleading and dance teams competing to win $500 in a Time Warner Cable Viewer’s Choice contest on Local On Demand, where every view counts as a vote.

The squads recently competed at two OASSA regional competitions, filmed by Time Warner. Each team performance now can be viewed on Local On Demand, available by tuning to Channel 1.
