The 53 members of the Silver Spirit All-Star Cheer Club of Minden started their competition season with three first-place awards at the America’s Best Championship competition in Sacramento on Nov. 15. 
“We swept the board. All three teams got first place in their divisions,” said Paige Young, co-owner of the club. “It was a good way to start the season.”
Additionally, the Silver Spirit youth squad won the event’s grand prize of a paid trip to the Las Vegas Supernationals in April.
