HOYC Cheerleaders win 1st at SpiritFest

Herndon Optimist Youth Cheerleading sent two squads to the SpiritFest Cheerleading Competition in Laurel, MD on Saturday, Feb. 2. Both squads received first place in their divisions. The competition included teams from Maryland and Virginia.
The HOYC Senior squad placed first in the Senior Teen Large Group division. The 22-member senior squad included girls from 9 to 14 years old.ÂÂ
The HOYC Junior Hornets placed first in the Pee Wee Small Group division. The squad consisted of 14 girls, ranging from 6 to 8 years old
