Senate President Godswill Akpabio,in Luanda, Angola, for the Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly.
Godswill Akpabio, the president of the Nigerian Senate, arrived in Luanda, Angola on Sunday to lead Nigeria’s delegation to the 147th IPU Assembly.
Senator Akpabio, who was travelling with four senators and five members of the house of representatives, was welcomed at the Luanda International Airport by Professor Monique Oshame Ekpong, H.E. the Nigerian ambassador to Angola, and other top Angolan government officials, including Joao Diogo Gaspar, Deputy Secretary UIP Angola.
Mr. Gaspar was described as adding that the attendance of the Nigerian Senate President was an honour for Angola in a statement by the Special Assistant (Media/Communication) to the Senate President, Anietie Ekong.
