UNIOSUN Vice-Chancellor receives CESVO Award

VICE-CHANCELLOR of Osun State University, Professor Labode Popoola has received the 2019 Ethics and Man of Conscience Award from the Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation (CESVO).
This is just as other principal officers of the University were also commended by the Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation (CESVO) for their services.
Professor Labode Popoola was specifically recognised for his exemplary leadership qualities during the course of a secret investigation about the University.
The Center for Ethics and Self Value Orientation is a Kogi state-based international independent anti-corruption NGO.

It is a non-state actor majored in exposing corruption, providing ethical education, promoting ethical leadership and engaging in self-value orientation of global citizens.
Its Executive Director, Prince Musa Yakubu said: ”CESVO is a secret investigators that annually engage in the conduct of annual independent secret assessment, survey, investigations, and research on the policy and project performances of government at all levels.
”We also include the character evaluation of leaders in both public and private MDAs/organizations privately or publicly owned.
”CESVO exposes corruption and in the process honour those who show leadership in accordance with ethical standard.
”We advise where necessary and build capacity of workers toward strengthening institutional capacity for effective and efficient public service delivery.”

Prince Yakubu said: “Based on our ten thematic areas of secret assessment, Osun State University ranked 1st overall, having cumulative scored above a benchmark of 79% in our ethical assessment criteria, making the University the least corrupt state University in Nigeria.”
Reacting to the presentation of award to the University and its principal officers, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Labode Popoola expressed his delight and promised that his administration would continue to uphold ethical standard and ensure transparency and accountability.
Professor Popoola was thereby decorated with the title ‘An ambassador of Ethics and Man of Conscience’.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Admin & development, Professor Janet Olaitan; the University Registrar, Mr Gafar Shittu;  University Bursar, Mr Bolarinwa Feruke and University Librarian, Mrs Tinuade Adewale were issued a professional ethics compliance award certificates.

The principal officers got CESVO’s recognition for being service complaints.
UNIOSUN, therefore, got a letter of intent to train one hundred (100) of its staff on leadership and ethics compliance for free.
