Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has said that Nigeria on Thursday recorded 476 new cases of COVID-19. This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 50,964.
Besides, the latest data from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC indicates that 7 more Covid-19 fatalities were reported in Nigeria in the last 24 hours with the death toll rising to 992. This is 8 fatalities short of 1,000.
States with new Covid-19 cases include Lagos-235; FCT-44; Kaduna-41; Borno-33; Plateau-28; Abia and Edo-13 each; Rivers-12; Imo-11 and Oyo-10.
Others are Kano-9; Kwara-7; Enugu and Katsina-5 each; Gombe and Ogun-4 each; Nasarawa and Zamfara-1 each.
Meanwhile, 265 Covid-19 patients have been discharged from treatment centres across Nigeria with the total number of successfully treated cases now 37,569.
According to the centre, the 476 new cases were confirmed alone today, Thursday.
Lagos with the highest figures has 235 cases while the nation’s capital, FCT has 44 cases.
