Tragedy In Imo As Gunmen Kill Two Traditional Rulers

Unknown gunmen have on Tuesday evening killed the Obi 1 of Okwudor autonomous community, Eze E. Anayochukwu Durueburuo and Eze Sampson Osunwa of the Ihebineowerre autonomous community at Imo State.

The gunmen opened fire on traditional rulers and killed them while they were holding a stakeholders’ meeting at the Njaba local council headquarters, Nnenasa. This is just as other traditional rulers were left with varying degrees of injuries as they ran for their lives.

Mike Abattam, the police spokesperson in the state, said two of the traditional rulers had been confirmed dead while the command had commenced investigation into the incident.
