Tinubu Plans To Repeat Lagos’s Achievements In Nigeria- Akeredolu

Rotimi Akeredolu, the governor of Ondo State, said on Saturday that Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, is qualified to lead Nigeria and had the necessary skills.
Rotimi Akeredolu, who is the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council’s (PCC) Zonal Coordinator for the South-West, emphasized that if Tinubu is elected president, he will continue the successes he achieved in Lagos for Nigeria.
On a Twitter Space event titled “Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Business of National Building,” hosted by @ABATMediaCentre, he made the comments in support of Tinubu’s presidential campaign.
“What we have always voted for in Southwest is capability, experience, and expertise, and the scale tilts in Asiwaju’s favor,” the speaker said.
“Asiwaju has done very well in assembling the best brains, and I believe he was following in the footsteps of Chief Obafemi Awolowo regardless of the tribe, he did it in Lagos, picking people to be a part of his government from Osun, Anambra, and several other states.”
We must give Asiwaju credit for creating the groundwork for a new Lagos; when he takes office as president, he will place the proper pegs in the appropriate holes.
Asiwaju “brought in so many people from diverse spheres which helped Lagos to maintain expanding because of the peculiarity of Lagos”
“Under Asiwaju Tinubu, true federalism will be in effect, and he will carry on President Buhari’s wonderful job. We are fortunate to have him since he has a lot of expertise and has played the game.

In response to a query about Tinubu’s plans to address security in the wake of the mindless attack that claimed the lives of over 41 people in Owo, Akeredolu stated that such a crime cannot occur in Lagos because Tinubu established the groundwork for bettering the state’s protection of people and property.
In his own words, “What happened in Ondo can’t happen in Lagos because of the numerous security organizations in Lagos. Thanks to Asiwaju for bringing in those initiatives, like the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), which aids in the search for funding to acquire the equipment required to fight crime.
“State police is one of the things we feel will happen if Tinubu becomes president,” said Tinubu. “This is part of Asiwaju’s legacy and we look forward to taking him to the national level.”
Akeredolu asserted that he is confident state policing will materialize under Tinubu.
Asiwaju is fortunate because, for the first time, the governors of all 36 states have concurred on the necessity of a state police. It would be up to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to put this agreement into action once he assumes the presidency.
