LSSTF Board Member, Ogunsan, Extends Congratulations to CP Tunji Disu on New Role in Rivers State, Encourages Him to Uphold Excellence

LSSTF Board Member, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan, extends congratulations to CP Olatunji Disu on his recent appointment as Commissioner of Police for Rivers State, following the directive of IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun. Dr. Ogunsan, a recipient of the Nigeria Police Distinguished Service Award, commends CP Disu’s exceptional qualities and encourages him to maintain the high standards he has exhibited throughout his diverse career within the Nigeria Police.

CP Olatunji Disu, known for his distinguished service and gentlemanly demeanor, has traversed various ranks and units within the Nigeria Police. The Chairman of the Executive Group, Dr. Ogunsan, urges CP Disu to uphold excellence in his new role and affirms his confidence in the CP’s ability to succeed in the challenging responsibilities that come with heading the Rivers State Command.

Having previously served in key positions such as Head of the IGP-Intelligence Response Team (IRT) and Head of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) in Lagos, CP Olatunji Disu has earned accolades for his effective leadership. Dr. Ogunsan emphasizes the importance of CP Disu maintaining his stellar record in Rivers State, echoing the belief that success will continue to accompany him in this elevated role.

CP Olatunji Disu’s impressive career includes notable achievements, such as leading the Nigeria Police Contingent to the African Union (AU) Peacekeeping Mission in Darfur, Sudan. Holding dual Masters degrees in Public Administration and Criminology, Security, and Legal Psychology, CP Disu’s model of policing centers on the principles of engaging, educating, explaining, and enforcing the law. His dedication to duty and sporting achievements as a Judoka since 1986 further highlight the well-rounded nature of this accomplished police officer.
