Nigeria’s former Golden Eaglet winger, Manga Mohammed has died. He died at 42.
Mohammed played with Nigeria’s U-17 at the 1993 FIFA U-17 World Cup team led by Kanu Nwankwo and Wilson Oruma, that went on to win the FIFA U-17 trophy for the second time in Japan.
Mohammed also played for the senior teams, passed on Friday, September 27, according to a tweet by his former club Gombe United.
However, details of his death still remain unknown.
Before his death was a member of World Conquering Coach Fanny Amun led Golden Eaglets team at the FIFA U17 World Cup in Japan 1993 and featured for Udoji United FC and JSK Kabliye of Algeria.
The mesmerizing winger was a Youth Director with FC Taraba Jalingo under the leadership of legendary Nigeria international and president of National Association of Nigeria Professional Footballers – NANPF Tijani Babangida MON.
