Amuwo Gives Trucks Owners 21 Days Ultimatum on Reclamation

BY MARY KUYE
The Authorities of Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State have put all necessary arrangements in place for the auctioning of all unclaimed abandoned containers and trucks seized by the Council.
The decision was a sequel to the notice of evacuation that has lasted beyond 21 days of compliance, issued to the owners and the general public.
By July 11, 2020, the owners of the abandoned containers and trucks at the Amuwo Odofin Industrial Area of the Local Government had defaulted in obeying the local authorities which had earlier issued a 21- day ultimatum to those concerned in June to decongest the area with their abandoned containers which have posed a security threat to the community over the years.

Importantly, the local government encourages the owners of all seized containers and trucks to within 21 days to make themselves available at the Abule – Ado Area Office of the local government to claim their various seized containers and abandoned trucks with proof of genuine ownership.
