Boko Haram Kill 47, Injure 15 In Ambush

A sudden attack by the Boko Haram has killed 47 soldiers of the Nigerian Army and left others with sustained different degrees of injuries during an ambushed in Buk area of the Sambisa forest in Borno State.

Major John Enenche, the Coordinator Defence Media Operations who disclosed this said the soldiers were not killed in direct combat with the terrorists.

Enenche said the terrorists ambushed the Military vehicle conveying logistics which included bombs and other weapons and shot at it, resulting in an explosion that killed the soldiers and the insurgents that mounted the ambush.

According to him, the 15 soldiers who were wounded are currently undergoing treatment in a military facility.
