Declan Emelumba, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Imo State who confirmed Okorocha’s arrest said he will be arraigned on Monday, 22 February 2021.
The operatives of the Imo State police command also arrested Ijeoma Igboanusi and Lasbrey Okafor-Anyanwu.
Recall that Igboanusi was the deputy chief of staff (Domestics) while Okafor-Anyanwu was the Commissioner for Transportation in Okorocha’s government.
It was gathered that trouble started when Okorocha went to the sealed estate with his supporters, policemen, soldiers and personnel of National Security and Civil Defence Corps and ordered the unsealing.
Consequently, Imo State officials also mobilised to the estate, leading to a free-for-all as many were reportedly injured and some cars damaged.
