Ogun State has confirmed that the Italian man who was tested positive yesterday of the coronavirus in Lagos, also visited the Ewekoro area of the State.
Commissioner for Health, Tomi Coker on Friday said the Italian visited a giant manufacturing company in Ewekoro community, adding that the name of the company would not be disclosed for business reasons.
She, however, pointed out that the facility of the company the Italian visited has been quarantined in accordance with health safety standard.
Having disclosed that the Italian businessman visited Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State this week, Coker urged residents not to panic over the discovery but equipped themselves with precautionary measures.

Coker, while briefing journalists in Ogun State said the state epidemiologists and Infectious Disease Consultant with support from the Lagos State Government and Federal Government were already handling the situation
According to her, efforts are in place to get in touch with people that have had contact with the established index case.
Some of the precautionary measures the health commissioner profer include the washing of hands regularly, cover their mouth and nose while sneezing or coughing.

The public with any of the coronavirus symptoms should report to the nearest public health centre, adding that the early signs include cold, cough and difficulty in respiratory.
