Cuba presents Letters of Credence to the African Union Commission

In an official ceremony held in the impressive building, headquarters of the African Union in Addis Ababa, H.E. Mr. Moussa Faki Mahamat, Chairman of the African Union Commission, received the Letters of Credence of Ambassador Lourdes Marrero Oro, accrediting her as Ambassador Permanent Observer of Cuba to that important multilateral organization.

Both sides held a cordial conversation in which they highlighted Cuba’s cultural roots, the country’s historic ties of solidarity with Africa and the continent’s gratitude for it, as well as the historic support of that organization and its 55 members, to the struggle of our people for the lifting of the criminal and unjust blockade of the United States. Both sides also reaffirmed their readiness to boost bilateral relations in all areas of common interest.
