Ibrahim Gusau (NFF) has been chosen as the Nigeria Football Federation’s new president.
The football administrator from Zamfara received the most votes at the election, which was conducted in the capital of Edo State, Benin.
With 21 votes, Gusau took the lead over Barr in the first round. With 12 votes, Seyi Akinwunmi was in last place, followed by Mallam Shehu Dikko with 6 votes, Peterside Idah with 1, and Alhaji Abba Abdullahi Yola with 1.
David-Buhari Doherty and Dr Christian Emeruwa did not receive a single vote in the election.
The electoral committee, however, determined that Gusau fell short of the 22 votes needed to win the presidency.
