The Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) has issued and hand over the certificate of return to Hope Uzodinma who Supreme Court on Tuesday declared the winner of the 2019 gubernatorial election in Imo State.

Senator Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) received the Certificate of Return from the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) as the governor-elect of Imo State.

INEC issued the certificate of return to Uzodinma less than 24 hours after the Supreme Court nullified the election of Emeka Ihedioha as the governor of Imo state.
