Three seminarians from Good Shepherd Catholic Major Seminary who were kidnapped in Kaduna 23 days ago have regained freedom.
Registrar of the Seminary, Rev Fr (Dr) Joel Usman disclosed this on Friday evening.
Usman, however, added that one of the four abducted seminarians is yet to be released.
Usman said: “With joy, the Formators, Staff and Seminarians of Good Shepherd Major Seminary, Kaduna, Kaduna State, announce the safe release of 3 of our Seminarians by their captors.
“One is still at large. We thank you our brothers and sisters for your prayers in our travails.
“Kindly continue to pray for the remaining one and all those who are still in the hands of Kidnappers. Thanks and may God bless you all.” He said.
”The seminarians were abducted within the seminary in the night of Wednesday, January 8, 2020, when kidnappers attacked the school located at Kakau along the Kaduna-Abuja expressway.

The Registrar had reported that the gunmen came to the premises of the seminary around 10:30 that night and operated for 30 minutes.
He said, after headcount of students with security agents, four seminarians were discovered missing.
Meanwhile, Kaduna State Police Command had confirmed the incident and disclosed that the kidnappers went into the seminary premises with military uniform.
