Nasarawa Gets Two New COVID-19 Cases

Abdullahi Sule, the Nasarawa State Governor has announced two new COVID-19 cases in the state.

The Governor disclosed this Sule stated these during a press briefing on the update of COVID-19 in the state.

According to him, the two new cases were returnees from Lagos. The two female victims were tested positive to COVID-19 from samples of 40 who returned from Lagos and are in isolation.

Sule said: “Since the advent of COVID-19, Nasarawa state has taken measures to curtail the spread of the pandemic in the state and one of the measures is to isolate our citizens who are returning from high-risk states.

“Currently, we have 40 of such people who are quarantined at the State Polytechnics Lafia.

“We took samples of those who showed symptoms of COVID-19, a total of 14 samples were taken and two of them are positive, that makes a total of 3.

“We have moved all of them from the State Polytechnics to Dalhatu Arab Specialist (DASH)Hospital Lafia, 11 contacts of the index cases are isolated at DASH, their sample is taken and we are waiting for the result.”
