Nigeria Evacuates 292 Citizens Stranded In UAE

The Federal Government has on Wednesday evacuated another batch of 292 Nigerians stranded in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The evacuees whose arrival was announced via a tweet landed at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport around 2.30 pm.

Tweet: “Emirate flight with 292 Evacuees arrived Nnamdi Azikiwe Int’l Airport, Abuja at about 1430HRS from the United Arab Emirates, today Wednesday, 12th of August, 2020 bringing the total number of evacuees from the UAE to 2,933.

“All evacuees tested Negative to Covid-19 and will now proceed on a 14-day self-isolation as mandated by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, Ministry of Health and Presidential Task Force on Covid-19.”
