Governors, security agencies, traditional rulers and other stakeholders are presently meeting in Lafia, Nasarawa State over insecurity issues in the country.
In the meeting, participants are meant to come out with ideas and suggestions to proffer solutions to insecurity in the zone.
The Inspector-General of Police, Deputy Inspector-Generals, Commissioners of police, traditional rulers, National Assembly members from the zone and other stakeholders were in attendance.
However, as at the time of filing this report, governors from the zone were yet to be at the venue of the meeting which was slated to commence at 11 am, said a source close to the governor said.
Our source disclosed that a closed-door meeting is being held to enable the governors to take a position on the security situation in the zone.
