Ogun House of Assembly Receives Amotekun Bill, Ready For Law

Dapo Abiodun, the Governor of Ogun has forwarded a bill to the House of Assembly to pass into law the establishment of Ogun State Security Network Agency and Amotekun Corps.

Ogun House of Assembly received the forwarded Bill on Wednesday after an extensive deliberation on it a day earlier at the State’s Executive meeting chaired by Abiodun.

Speaker Kunle Oluomo who presided on Thursday over the House of Assembly acknowledged the receipt of the correspondence from the Governor conveying the proposed Bill.

He pledged to harness the views of the Ogun people and necessary stakeholders in the legislative process of ensuring the speedy passage of the bill into law.

The proposed bill was approved at the second meeting of the State Executive Council held on Friday, 11th of February, 2020, with a view to maintaining law and order in the State.
