Rituals: Murder And Mutilation Of 40-Year-Old Man By “Yahoo Boys” In Ogun

A 40-year-old man named Abdullahi Azeez’s body was allegedly murdered and severely dismembered for money rituals by two accused online scammers known as “Yahoo Boys,” according to Ogun State police.
Following a report filed at Owode Egba Divisional Headquarters by the victim’s family, the suspects, Friday Abinya Odeh, 21, and Poso Idowu, 20, were detained.
The victim’s relatives informed the police that Azeez left his home in the Kobape neighborhood of Abeokuta on June 8, 2022, and did not come back, according to the police spokesman Abimbola Oyeyemi on Sunday.
Oyeyemi claimed that the anti-kidnapping division of the state Criminal Investigation Departments was promptly instructed by the commissioner of police, CP Lanre Bankole, to take over “the investigation and uncover the riddle behind the unexpected disappearance of the individual.”
Oyeyemi claims that after that, the SP Taiwo Opadiran-led team began a “technological and intelligence-based inquiry,” which brought them in September to Friday Abinya Odeh’s hiding place.
According to the PPRO, the victim’s SIM card was found on the site. He stated that Poso Idowu, Abinya’s accomplice, was apprehended as a result of Abinya’s arrest.

“During questioning, the suspects admitted that they had taken the victim hostage and taken him against his will into the bush where they killed and dismembered him on June 8, 2022, at 7:30 p.m. in the Kobape area.
They further admitted that a herbalist they claimed to have contacted on Facebook, Arab Money, was the one who gave them the ritual’s instructions, according to Oyeyemi.
According to the police spokeswoman, “all attempts to collect the victim’s body proved futile as the suspects claimed to have disposed of it.”
He cited the Police Commission as having ordered that the suspects be brought up in court as soon as the inquiry was finished.
