Pastor and Two Others Abducted by Gunmen in Plateau State

GUNMEN attacks Anambra State

A pastor named Usman Umaru was kidnapped by gunmen on Wednesday in Plateau State’s Jos East Local Government Area.

When the gunmen stormed the clergyman’s church in the Maigemu neighbourhood early on Wednesday, they also kidnapped two other people. The preacher is affiliated with the Evangelical Church Winning All.

The event was reported to The PUNCH in Jos on Wednesday by Michael Madaki, a youth leader in the Maigemu community.

Security officers who were notified have been searching the bushes in the council area in an effort to free the abduction victims ever since the gunmen abducted the cleric, according to Madaki.

In the early hours of September 13, 2023, Madaki remarked. In Plateau State’s Jos East Local Government Area, the Maigemu community was invaded by unidentified gunmen who we assume were kidnappers. They arrived at the ECWA Church Nuku right away and took the pastor, Usman Umaru, hostage.

Before they fled, the gunmen also abducted a woman and a second guy, Agwom Dauda.

Men from the special task force, Operation Safe Haven, and several community vigilantes have been looking everywhere since the kidnapping event to rescue the victims.

When our journalist called the Plateau State Police Command’s spokesman, Alabo Alfred, multiple calls to his cell phones showed that he was unavailable to comment on the incident.
