Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has appointed Professor Toyin Ogundipe as the Pro-Chancellor of Redeemer’s University in Ede, Osun State. This announcement was made in a statement by Mr. Adetunji Adeleye, Deputy Director of the Directorate of Corporate Affairs of the university, on Monday.

Leadership Transition at Redeemer’s University

Professor Ogundipe succeeds Pastor Ezekiel Odeyemi, the Assistant General Overseer in charge of Training and Education at RCCG, as part of the newly reconstituted governing council of the university. This leadership change reflects the institution’s commitment to enhancing its governance and educational standards.

Background of Prof. Toyin Ogundipe

Born on May 31, 1960, Ogundipe has an impressive academic and administrative background. He joined the University of Lagos (UNILAG) in 1990 and achieved the rank of professor in 2002. His extensive experience in academia includes various administrative roles, culminating in his appointment as Vice-Chancellor in November 2017, a position he held until November 2022.

Composition of the Governing Council

The newly formed Governing Council of Redeemer’s University includes notable members such as Prof. Shadrach Akindele, Prof. Ahmed Yerima, Prof. Olalere Adeyemi, and Prof. Christian Happi, who represent the University Senate among others. This diverse council aims to guide the university towards achieving its educational and strategic goals.
