Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, cannot participate in a five-minute debate with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, according to Femi Fani-Kayode, Director of Special Media Projects, Operations, and New Media for the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council.
In a series of tweets, the former minister of aviation for Nigeria claimed that Obi couldn’t get higher than fourth in the 2023 election.
You don’t respond to statements made by presidential spokespersons because you lack responses, he said. Because you are way too far down the ladder, no presidential candidate worth his salt will ever engage in a direct debate with you. I can imagine Asiwaju, Waziri, and Kwankwaso on that list, but to include an Obi in a debate or discussion in front of the public would be a major insult.
Who the hell is he, and what does he know besides deceiving his credulous fans on social media and peddling toothpaste, tomato puree, and Bournvita? In a debate with ANY of our presidential spokespersons, he would not last five minutes, and even Kwankwaso and Atiku would berate him. He will realize that this is a game for the big boys by the time he loses badly in the presidential race and finishes fourth.
“At that point, he and his venomous, uneducated, and obnoxious supporters would scream “blue murder,” insist the election was rigged, and attempt to topple the government, set fire to everything in sight, and incite riots. This time, we shall be prepared for them and use every resource at our disposal to uphold Asiwaju’s mandate.
