Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, founder of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), has been arrested. Fatoyinbo eventually surrendered himself to the Nigeria Police Force over Busola Dakolos rape allegations.
Busola Dakolo, former COZA member had alleged during a taped interview in June that Fatoyinbo raped her twice .The COZA pastor had dismissed Mrs. Dakolo’s allegation as false.
Another former COZA member had also alleged in July that Fatoyinbo raped her during a meeting between in 2017.
Fatoyinbo on Tuesday finally met with officers at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Headquarters in Abuja . Fatoyinbo’ arrest is coming after two months Timi Dakolo filed a petition against him.
Fatoyinbo has also filed complaints of criminal conspiracy and falsehood against Busola Dakolo with the authorities.
The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) had also set up a panel of investigation of Fatoyibo. The Christian body claimed to have invited him for investigation but Fatoyinbo reportedly shunned the invitation.
Fatoyinbo said he was advised by his lawyers not to appear before the panel because it was prejudiced and may not conduct an impartial session.
