Police Nab Notorious Kidnapper In Kaduna

Kaduna State Police Command said it has arrested a notorious kidnapper and rescued eight kidnap victims in the state.

DSP Yakubu Sabo, the state Command Public Relations disclosed this in a statement issued in Kaduna.

Sabo said a combined team of police operatives from Rigasa, Nariya division and personnel of command carried out the operation.

He said the team, ”on a reliable tip-off, swung into action and succeeded in arresting a suspected notorious kidnapper.

”The Police operatives arrested Mustapha Ibrahim of Daura Road, Rigasa, Kaduna, red-handed with a kidnapped victim.”

”Operatives of police nabbed Ibrahim on his way to deliver the victim, Abubakar Aminu.

”The victim is a 13-year-old boy of Maraban Rido, Chukun local government area of the state. ” Police nabbed Ibrahim when he was about to deliver Aminu to his gang members,”

Sabo said the suspect led the operatives to rescue two other victims, Ismaila Hussaini and Hussaini Umar. He said they both live at Ado-Gwaram area of Rigasa Kaduna.

Mr Sabo said: “The suspect is helping the police investigation. ”The Command is currently on the trail of other gang members for possible arrest and prosecution.”

Besides, Police command has successfully rescued another set of kidnapped victims on Thursday.

Sabo said that operation at Maguzawa and Gurguzu Forests has successfully rescued five kidnap victims.

”The Police, therefore, rescued the victims when it stormed some bandits’ camps at  1:30 a.m. on Thursday.

And engaged them in a fierce gun duel.

” The Police successfully rescued the captives after the suspected bandits escaped with bullet wounds.

”Those rescued are Sada Abdullahi, Maimuna Sharif, Ismail Sharif, Aisha Sharif and Husaini Sharif. All of them are adults of Nariya village, Chukun LGA.
