Students In Oyo Resume School Today, Monday 6

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo has broken the jinx of four months compulsory holiday for students across the country, as he announced the resumption of schools on Monday 6, 2020.

On Monday 6, he said, the resumption begins with students in primary six, JSS3 and SSS3 at their various schools.

According to him, schools are billed to open for three hours, between the hour of 8 am and 12 noon, with students in boarding houses expected to have returned to their hostels on Sunday.

He said assemblies are expected to be limited in schools such that there are two meters of physical distancing whenever the congregation of students and staff becomes necessary.

Meanwhile, Mr Olasunkanmi Olaleye, the State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology,  on Sunday, assured that the state government had taken necessary steps to ensure safe resumption for students today.

He called for the cooperation of parents by providing facemask for their children/wards on a daily basis.
