Imo Judgement Review: The Real Reason Ihedioha Pleads For Adjournment

BY DAYO ADESULU

The People’s Democratic Party, PDP and the removed governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha on Monday during the hearing pleaded for adjournment of the case.

Ihedioha’s lawyer, Kanu Agabi (SAN) told the court that Hope Uzodinma and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) before the court sat,  just served them some documents.

The PDP/Ihedioha, Kanu Agabi, therefore, requested the court for time to enable him to study the document, respond to it and come Tuesday (tomorrow) for the review.

Asked the APC/Uzodinma Counsel, Damian Dodo (SAN) if the statement of Kanu Agabi was correct, he responded in the affirmative.

In his reaction, Dodo said Agabi served some documents on his office on Friday, and that Monday morning was the earliest time he could serve his response on him (Agabi).

Dodo, nevertheless, requested the court to proceed in judicial review on Monday in spite of the plea.

Meanwhile, Lawyer to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Tanimu Inuwa (SAN), objected to an adjournment, adding that the Commission was ready for the hearing today (Monday).
