Taraba Commissioner for Health, Innocent Vakkai on Saturday that the state is set to repatriate the Almajiris to their states of origin with immediate effect.
Vakkai, who briefed journalists said the Almajiris would be tested before they would be repatriated.
His words: “Those who would test negative would be given the way to leave with their guardians.
“Those who would test positive shall be quarantined and treated before sending them off to their ancestral states.
”Eight cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
”But the victims are been treated at an isolation centre at the NYSC Orientation Camp.
”Of the eight victims, only one person has shown serious symptoms of the disease.

”Taraba State Government now has three ventilators that can treat victims.
“The state is collaborating with the private sector in the fight against the pandemic.
“About 100 beds are going to be supplied by Access Bank, soon.”
