Tinubu Sworn In As 16th President Of Nigeria

The Federal Republic of Nigeria’s 16th president, Bola Tinubu, has taken the oath of office.
Additionally, Nigeria’s Vice President Kashim Shettima took the oath of office.
At 10:40 am, just after the Vice President took the oath of office, Olukayode Ariwoola, Chief Justice of the Federation, gave the President his oath of office.
Recall that Tinubu was named the winner of the February 2023 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, came in second place with a total of 6,984,520 votes, while Peter Obi, the candidate of the Labour Party, came in third place with a total of 6,101,533 votes, and Rabiu Kwankwaso, the candidate of the NNPP, came in fourth place with 1,496,687 votes.
