NIMC Boss Mandated to Take Mandatory 90-Day Leave as Tinubu Initiates Retirement Process

Engr. Aliyu Abubakar Aziz, Director-General/CEO of the National Identity Management Commission, NIMC, has been ordered by President Bola Tinubu to begin a 90-day pre-retirement vacation with effect from August 24, 2023, and to officially resign from his position on November 24, 2023.

A full term of four years as the substantive NIMC Director-General/CEO will start on November 24, 2023, following the President’s approval of Engr. Bisoye Coker-Odusote’s appointment to serve as the NIMC’s Acting Director-General/CEO for a period of 90 days, beginning on August 24, 2023.

Ajiri Ngelale, the president’s special adviser on media and publicity, said this in a statement.

Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub has been appointed by President Tinubu to be the Director/CEO of the Directorate of Technical Aid Corps (DTAC).

This comes after Dr Pius Osunyikanmi, the former CEO and Director of DTAC, just had his contract expire.

The announcement claims that the appointment is effective right away.
