The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) was the location of 134 victims who were freed by vigilantes in Kogi State.

According to a statement released on Monday and signed by Onogwu Muhammed, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Kogi State, the victims were saved during recent operations of the Kogi vigilantes in forests inside the state and other areas of Nasarawa State.

The vigilantes allegedly assaulted the kidnappers’ lairs in the Kogi state’s Odullo forest and Nasarawa State’s Sardauna, rescuing victims who had been kidnapped from the FCT’s Abaji, Kuje, and Kwali as well as Nasarawa’s Toto council area.

When the victims were received by Dauda Aliyu, chairman of the Kogi/Koton Karfe Local Government Area, he praised the vigilantes for their bravery.

Dauda Aliyu also expressed gratitude to the state administration for its assistance in supporting the state’s security personnel.

The head of the council made sure the victims were appropriately reunited with their relatives in each LGA.

The operation was conducted at the Odullo Forest in the Kogi LGA, and after that, the vigilantes moved on to Sardauna in Nasarawa State.
