Esomnofu Chidiebube Ifechukwu, a dedicated educator from Crown Grace School in Mararaba, Nasarawa State, has been named the winner of the 10th edition of the Maltina Teacher of the Year competition. The grand finale, held in Lagos, celebrated exceptional teaching talent across Nigeria.
- Significant Rewards for Excellence in Education
As the winner, Esomnofu will receive a cash prize of N10 million and an all-expense-paid capacity development training opportunity in the United Kingdom. In addition, Crown Grace School will benefit from a fully equipped computer laboratory or a six-classroom block valued at N20 million, established in Esomnofu’s honor.
- Runners-Up Recognized for Their Contributions
The competition also acknowledged outstanding educators in second and third places. Kehinde Oladapo Olukayode from Molusi College in Ijebu Igbo secured the first runner-up position, while Aniefiok Iniobong Udoh from Community Secondary Commercial School in Ikot Oku Ikono, Akwa Ibom State, was named the second runner-up.
The Maltina Teacher of the Year competition aims to celebrate and reward the dedication and hard work of teachers, underscoring their vital role in shaping the future of education in Nigeria.
