Nigeria Ambassador To Spain Is Dead

Demola Seriki, Nigeria’s ambassador to Spain, has passed away. Aged 63, the politician from Lagos passed away in Madrid, Spain.
On Thursday, his children released a statement announcing his passing. The announcement stated that the Nigerian ambassador to Spain passed away early on Thursday.
We announce the passing of His Excellency, Ambassador Demola Seriki, our much-loved and revered patriarch, husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend, on December 15, 2022, with heavy hearts and deep thankfulness to Almighty Allah.
He was appointed as Nigeria’s ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain in January 2021 and served in that capacity until his death.
From 2009 to 2010, he held the position of Minister of State for the Interior.
Seriki received the chieftaincy title of Otun Aare of Lagos from HRH Oba Rilwan Akiolu, the Oba of Lagos, in May 2009. From 2007 to 2008, he served as Nigeria’s Minister of State for Agriculture and Water Resources.
From October 2008 to December 2008, he served as the Supervising Minister for Mines and Steel Development. In addition, from 2008 to 2009, he was Minister of State for Defense.
