The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency discovered 15 packages of marijuana and 600 grams of tramadol that were being shipped to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, inside a sack of crayfish.
This was said in a statement made on Sunday in Abuja by Mr. Femi Babafemi, Director of Media and Advocacy at NDLEA.
According to Babafemi, the attempt, which was also halted by agents who seized the shipment, led to the arrest of a freight agency named Osahor Ekwueme who had offered it for export.
In a similar vein, Babafemi reported that the agency had also detained drug dealer Ifeanyi Egbuwaohia in the Lagos State neighborhood of Igando.

“Although Ifeanyi is employed as a technician at Computer Village in Ikeja, he also collaborates with a drug network there to distribute illegal substances.
A few hours after his arrest, operators at the airport also stopped a second shipment of the same material, weighing 2.60 kg, that he had sent for export to Dubai.
Another shipment of 1.30 kg of cannabis hidden in rebuilt engine blocks headed for Dubai was also intercepted.
Olatunji Temiola and Osemojoye Sunday were detained in connection with the bid, he added. “It was intercepted at the Skyway Aviation Handling Company Plc export yard,” he said.
