Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has admitted he felt more love in Nigeria and thus had to pick the West African nation over Germany.
Okoye, 20, features for Fortuna Dusseldorf in Germany and could have represented the country of his birth but chose Nigeria.
According to him, getting a call-up to the Super Eagles team is a massive step in his football career, thanking God for the opportunity.
“My opinion and my advice is to follow your heart, you have to feel it, where the love is. I felt the love in Nigeria, and I feel like a Naija boy, that’s why I chose Nigeria over Germany,” Okoye told the Super Eagles Media Team.
